'Tis the season to be jolly. According to MMDA (Metropolitan Manila Development Authority), the number coding scheme for provincial buses,private cars and public utility vehicles.

According to Boy Abunda, he has just received a texted message from his friend, Kris Aquino, that she got hospitalized due to a spike on her blood pressure - 160/100.

Earthquake Drill: Success!

The nation-wide “Shake Drill” was successful, a Philippine National Red Cross official said in an interview with media. 

Schools, business establishments, and government offices took part in the said simulation which aims to prepare citizens for the so call “The Big One.” It has been feared that if such disastrous would really occur, an estimate of 34,000 people would be killed. Official says it is anticipated to be 20 times worse that the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Baguio on July 16, 1990.

INC spokesman denies corruption

In an interview with Angel Manalo, he has asked his brother not to listen to the "sangunian" and other leaders that surrounds him. He accused some leaders of malversation of funds such as the use of donations for the Philippine Arena which were supposedly meant for other projects.

INC spokesman vehemently denies and said: "The Philippine Arena was one of the plans the INC founder had before he died."

"Lahat ng sinasabi po nila ay pawang mga kasinungalingan lamang." "Yung mga mensahe sa bintana sabi nila bata ang gumawa, halatang minamanipula kayo(media) at kitang kita na may motibo pangsarili," the spokesman said.

"The burden of proof is on them."

Manalo: fight for INC doctrines

Ka Angel Manalo calls for a vigil outside the Manalo home.

"Maiparating nyo sa aming kasama at sa lahat ng kasama namin sa iglesia, ipagtangol natin ang ating simbahan," Manalo had asked the media in an interview,

 He had urged INC members to go to Manalo home and fight for INC doctrines.

Ka-Angel Manalo clears alleged kidnapping

Ka-Angel Manalo of Iglesia Ni Cristo have opened up the gates and cleared that they were all safe and no abduction had happened.

He also mentioned that the messages seen on the window were done by a young member inside the compound. "Hindi po kami na abduct. May kasama po kaming bata at sya ang nag sulat ng mensahe sa bintana namin."

Andal Ampatuan Sr. dead

Andal Ampatuan Sr. passed away on Friday night according to family lawyer and spokesman Ferdinand Topacio.

“It is with deep sadness that I announce to the public that former Maguindanao Governor Andal Ampatuan Sr. has passed away a few minutes ago,” Topacio added.

“Details of his death are still sketchy. What is confirmed is that his mortal remains will be treated in accordance with Islamic customs.” 

“The family requests the media and the public in general for privacy and respect in this time of bereavement,” he said.

Andal Ampatuan Sr. has been in the National Kidney and Transplant Institute since June 5 and had been suffering from liver cancer.

Andal Sr. was one of the primary suspects in the 2009 Maguindanao massacre, which caused the death of 58 civilians including media people which cause an uproar among Filipinos.

New items banned on planes
