Smart Communications and Taiwanese firm HTC are bringing the first Android-powered smartphone to the Philippines.
Smart Communications will start shipping units of the Android-powered HTC Magic to the local market by the end of the month.
G2 or the Google Ion will be offered in two variants – black and white – and will be locked to the Smart network for two years.
The HTC Magic runs the Android Operating System and comes pre-installed with a WebKit based browser. Standard Google applications are included in the phone such as Gmail, Google Maps, Google Talk and YouTube.
