Senator Panfilo Lacson, the supposed to be presidential aspirant, announced that he was dropping his plan to run for president in 2010.
Lacson said he opted not to join the race for lack of campaign funds although his “well-meaning friends” could help him raise funds.
Meanwhile, former president Joseph Estrada said Lacson is a victim of political persecution which has something to do with the return of former police officer Cezar Mancao to the Philippines who will testify against the senator regarding the Dacer-Corbito double murder case in 2000.
