Carrie Prejean has been stripped of her crown as Miss California USA for “contract violations.”
Officials for the pageant said Prejean was being dethroned for contract violations over “unwillingness to make appearances on behalf of the Miss California USA organization.”
Prejean, 22, was able to retain her title last month despite a controversy over racy photos, missed appearances and her statements against same-sex marriage.
Pageant director Keith Lewis said Wednesday’s Prejean’s dismissal was solely for “contract violations.”
