“Vanessa,” a 22-year-old Filipina, surfaced and claimed that she was raped by a US serviceman.
According to her, she was raped on April 19 by a US serviceman, whom she referred to as “John Jones.” The incident allegedly happened in a five-star hotel in Makati.
Meanwhile, women’s group Gabriela has confirmed that the alleged perpetrator is listed in the hotel records as “from JUSMAG/Balikatan.”
The JUSMAG – is the Joint US Military Assistance Group.
The Balikatan – is the joint military exercises of the Philippines and the US.
