Nora Aunor’s famous movie “Himala” was chosen as the Best Asia-Pacific Film in the CNN Asia Pacific Screen Awards held last November 11 at Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
Himala bested nine other Asian movies in the online poll, from October until November 11, conducted by the Cable News Network entertainment website.
The film Himala was directed by Ishmael Bernal where Nora Aunor played the role of Elsa, a young visionary.
The other nine movies were Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (China), The Seven Samurai (Japan), Chungking Express (China), Internal Affairs (Hong Kong), Gabbeh (Iran), Gallipoli (Australia), Spirited Away (Japan), Pather Panchali (India), and Old Boy (South Korea).
