Filipinos all over the world should be proud of little big stars that make names in the entertainment industry bringing the name of our country.
After Charice and Charlie Green became popular (aside from those who already made names in the past and made it too far like Lea Salonga), now came Mary Justin Galansa who now shares the limelight with music icon Celine Dion after she posed and appeared with the international diva and children with stories of hope from all over the world for the United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef) 2009 calendar.
Mary Jane is one of 12 children from nine countries who were chosen by Reader’s Digest correspondents to be part of the “Faces of Hope” project.
The project aims to raise funds for charities like CHU Sainte- Justine, Toronto Hospital for Sick Children and Unicef.
The lives of Mary Jane and the other eight children were celebrated in pictures and words in a book, greeting cards and a calendar.
The book, titled “12 héros parmi nous” was launched in August. The greeting cards and 2009 calendar are now available.
Mary Jane’s photos with Dion were also published by Canadian magazine “La Semaine” in its August edition.
