It’s official! ABS-CBN’s Studio 1 were named after Dolphy yesterday, July 28, as his mother network ABS-CBN honors his legendary contribution to the Philippines’ showbiz.
Studio 1 is now known as “Dolphy Theatre” which also served as the network’s gifts for for the legendary comedian’s 80th birthday.
Dolphy shed tears after the unveiling of the Dolphy Theater. It was a big surprise for the King of Comedy who is also celebrating his 6th decade in show business.
Present in the said event were the big bosses of ABS-CBN, Dolphy’s sons Epi Quizon, Sally Quizon, Vandolph, and Dolphy Jr.
Also, his autobiographical book “Hindi Ko Ito Narating Mag-isa” has been launched on his birthday.



Happy 80th bday Mang Dolphy.. well, you deserved to have that theatre bcoz you change many peoples lives through your power of making people laugh.. you have this charisma that everyone loves to see and to set as a good example.. your not just an artist but also a good role model, a leader not only to filipinos but also to the people from the whole world.. i vowed you for making us feel that we can still laugh and enjoy life inspite of crisis we are facing right now..
