Its been talk of the town for quite sometime now some say’s that we are having some rice shortages as evidence of the long line of people buying NFA rice and as evidence by the limitation of kilos people can buy some are not and rice are just in the hands of the private rice traders.
I’ve seen some comments/analysis on where this problem arises aside of course that this is being felt globally but Philippines being one of the major rice producers should not feel the worst.
I’ve seen some people giving us tips or advising us to save rice as much as possible, I even seen in tv about the half rice promo hehehe but oh boy are we going to limit a person whom can afford to have much rice as he could have? Its just like controlling your rights to enjoy isn’t it?
Anyway, I guess the government is trying to show some force (I hope its not just a show.. you know what I mean) in trying to get those private corporation trying to hoard rice. What people, us, can do is that supporting such move if we’ve seen some individuals involve in such activity we can give those information to the proper authority.
The rice problem is being felt globally not the shortage but the price increase its understandable since there some factors affecting rice production thus increasing the price is inevitable but controlling the increase is also attainable if we work together.
