Young actress and singer Miley Cyrus who is well known as Disney’s “Hannah Montana” seems to be facing the same fate with High School Musical teen Vanessa Hudgens whose daring pictures have been leaked and spread over the internet.
In the first series of pictures, Miley is showing her green bra, a couple of photos were showing herself in underwear, and another picture showing her in the lap of her boyfriend where her top was pulled up and shows some skin.
She has also posed for Vanity Magazine wherein she appears to be topless and wrapped in a blanket.
In a statement given by Miley through People Magazine, “For Vanity Fair, I was so honored and thrilled to work with Annie. I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed,”
Disney has again stood on their star’s side, defended them. They say, “a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines.”
On the other hand, Vanity Fair defended itself. According to them, Miley’s family and friends were on the set all day while taking the photo shoot. They saw it and and everyone thought it was a beautiful and natural portrait of Miley.
The 15-year-old singer was so sorry and this was her statement:
“The pictures of me on the Internet were silly, inappropriate shots. I appreciate all the support of my fans, and hope they understand that along the way I am going to make mistakes and I am not perfect. I never intended for any of this to happen and I am truly sorry if I have disappointed anyone.
Most of all, I have let myself down. I will learn from my mistakes and trust my support team. My family and my faith will guide me through my life’s journey.”
Miley Cyrus is the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus who also plays as her father in the Disney Channel’s top TV series of U.S. cable television for children, Hannah Montana.
