The singing of National Anthems at Pacquiao-Marquez rematch

One of the most awaited part in the Pacquiao-Marquez rematch, aside from who will win the fight, is the singing of the National Anthems where a lot of things can happen.

Ciara Anna Gamboa Sotto, daughter of former senator Tito Sotto, sang the Philippine national anthem Lupang Hinirang, followed by Teo Gonzales who sang Mexico’s El Himno Nacional. 14-year-old Filipino American Jasmine Villegas sang the Star Spangled Banner.

Unlike the previous boxing match where singers like Jennifer Bautista who sang out of tune and Christian Bautista, who skipped the lyrics of Lupang Hinirang, Ciara was able to sing the anthem with pride and finesse.
