GMA Network called a meeting with the representatives of various advertising firms and agencies to discuss the issue of manipulating the ratings in a certain area raised by ABS-CBN and other promotional activities implemented by GMA in rural areas .
GMA-7 explained to their advertisers through the help of a visual representation their various promo activities conducted in different provinces to strengthen their signal like doing a house-to-house viewing promo where they give small prizes to some lucky household viewers, disseminating Kapuso Komiks to keep viewers updated, and provincial motorcade participated by Kapuso stars and talents.
“We are now taking this opportunity to discuss with you these issues and to give the report on what we’ve done in the provincial areas. From this, you will see that this malicious charges being hurled of us are baseless and unfounded”
Advertisers welcomed the forum shed off some of the confusion and doubts caused by the issue.
