The Quezon City Regional Trial Court (QCRTC), on Monday, dismissed the P63-million civil case filed by ABS-CBN Network to AGB Nielsen after declaring the said case as premature.
ABS-CBN Network sued AGB Nielsen for a continued release of TV ratings even after an informant told ABS-CBN that a certain network hired him along with other seven others to look for metered panel homes and bribe them monthly with Php 500 worth of cash and groceries in exchange of switching the channel that they are watching.
GMA Network also filed P15-million damage suit against ABS-CBN and 15 employees for allegedly accusing GMA of tampering metered households of research firm AGB Nielsen.
With the case being dismissed, the Quezon City Regional Trial Court summons ABS-CBN along with 15 more accused employees to answer the filed damage suit within 15 days.
However, ABS-CBN filed a motion for reconsideration after the QCRTC junked their case.
