In a nationwide survey result released by the independent pollster Pulse Asia, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo was considered by most Filipinos as the most corrupt leader in the Philippine’s history.
President Arroyo was said to surpass the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos who allegedly stole billions of dollars during his administration and the ousted former President Joseph Ejercito Estrada.
42% of the Filipinos believed Arroyo is the most corrupt president placing her at the top spot, followed by the late Ferdinand Marcos, and third was former president Joseph Estrada.
Meanwhile, Former President Corazon C. Aquino was said to be the least corrupt according to survey.
The survey was conducted last October 20 - 23 to a 1,200 people nationwide.
