Texas rapper Chad “Pimp C” Butler received a Grammy Nomination two days after his death.
The 33 year old rapper died suddenly in a Los Angeles hotel room and further tests are pending to determine the cause of his death.
Pimp C was not the only artist who was nominated after his death, the R&B singer Gerald Levert who died in an accident was cited for best traditional R&B vocal performance and Guitarist Robert Lockwood was also nominated for best traditional blues album who died last year.
