Sandiganbayan orders Erap's release

After almost seven years in detention, former President Joseph "Erap" Ejercito-Estrada is finally a is finally a free citizen after the Sandiganbayan issued his release order.

Early this afternoon, Estrada signed the pardon documents delivered by Secretary Puno in his Tanay rest house.

The pardon granted to Estrada was "conditional" wherein some properties and bank account owned by the former president will be forfeited.
