Philippines’ Former President Joseph “Erap” Ejercito Estrada appealed to President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to grant him “full, free, and unconditional pardon.”
After coming up to a decision to withdraw their motion for reconsideration, Estrada’s defense panel sent a 3-page letter of appeal to President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo signed by lawyer Jose Flaminiano.
According to Estrada’s lawyers “there is a very slim chance that the Sandiganbayan will reconsider its original guilty verdict.”
